Tredyffrin Township, Chester County is seeking to fill the position of Permit Clerk to support our Planning and Zoning department. The Permit Clerk receives, reviews, and processes permit applications; assist residents and contractors on the phone, in person, and via email to provide information on the permit process, permit fees, by providing general zoning, building, and code information; maintain billing information; assists customer at the front counter; and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and skills include the ability to use basic Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Explorer) and data entry programs; ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing.  Must be familiar with use of personal computer workstation, copier/scanner/printer, multi-line telephone system, and calculator.

Qualifications for this position include:

•             A high school diploma or GED

•             Two-years’ experience in municipal permits office, construction office or another related field.

This is a full-time, union, non-exempt position, the salary range is $20.00-25.00 per hour depending on experience. EOE. Subject to background/drug screens.
