The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry adopted the 2015 International Codes (I-Codes) of the International Code Council (ICC) effective October 1, 2018. A number of changes or amendments were recommended by the Review and Advisory Council (RAC) that were also adopted. As a result of the adoptions stated above, the current Pennsylvania state codes are the 2015 I-Codes with amendments transitioning from the previous Pennsylvania codes, the 2009 I-Codes.
This full-color publication compiles all of the 2018 UCC changes to the base I-Codes and presents them in an easy-to-follow format identifying code section, title, type of change, change summary and change analysis. New code text is shown in underline/strikethrough format for immediate recognition of the change. Additional analysis, illustrations, tables and photos help enhance reader understanding. This user-friendly resource includes UCC changes to the Building, Residential, Energy, Existing Building, Fire and Mechanical Codes, making it an ideal tool for all building industry professionals.
Two additional and informational documents have also been included to enhance the usability of this publication, they include 2018 Pennsylvania Alternative Residential Energy Provisions and Statutory Revisions to the PA UCC – IRC.
