Position Overview

We are currently seeking a certified and experienced Building Code Inspector to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals in a role that is both challenging and rewarding.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct on-site inspections of residential and commercial construction projects to verify compliance with ICC and PA UCC building codes Accurately document inspection results and generate clear, detailed reports in a timely manner Communicate code requirements effectively to contractors, property owners, and other project stakeholders Collaborate with the plan review team by offering field-based insights and technical guidance as needed Participate in pre-construction and progress meetings to support code compliance throughout the project lifecycle Stay current with code updates, regulations, and best practices through ongoing training and certification

Required Skills & Abilities

Understanding of building codes, construction practices, and code enforcement processes Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Professional demeanor with the ability to engage positively with contractors, staff, and the public Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills Proficiency in standard software tools and ability to learn company-specific systems

Qualifications

Current ICC/PA UCC Inspector Certifications (required) 1–5+ years of experience in building code enforcement or related field Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Previous hands-on construction experience is beneficial but not required
