Topic: Understanding the 2021 International Property Maintenance Code

Instructor: Building & Fire Code Academy

Description:  This one-day course examining the philosophy, attitudes and values surrounding property maintenance utilizing drawings, previously encountered situations, and photograph as demonstrations and teaching points in code requirements in support of community preservation.

Learning Objectives

  • Students will identify and discuss the minimum requirements for plumbing, mechanical systems, and basic fire safety.
  • Students will compare and contrast procedures for administration of property maintenance programs based on data resulting from both well-demined and poorly managed communities.
  • Students will analyze and apply enhanced property maintenance skills to code enforcement officials, inspectors, property managers and real estate assessment.
  • Students will identify and apply the general, light, and occupancy requirements of the International Property Maintenance Code.

Continuing Ed: This training session is 6 hours and offers .6 CEU’s.

Time: Membership meeting starts at 8:00 AM & training starts at 8:30 AM

Cost: $125.00 for members only (lunch included).  $40 for members lunch-only option (no training).
