Description: Act 1 of 2011 changed many things for the PA Uniform Construction Code, including that “the wall bracing requirements of sections R602.10 through R602.11.3 of the International Residential Code shall be part of the Uniform Construction Code.” Many builders have questions regarding the relationship between requirements and the provisions in the IRC.
The legal ramifications of plan submittals including the often mis-interpreted basics of professional seal and signature will be discussed in detail that will provide the people and municipalities with the confidence to perform the critical function of documentation of projects.
A critical inspection in life safety before the wall finish is applied, be prepared to examine the structure for all the locations where fire stopping, and draft stopping are required. Fire stopping is critical for facilitating evacuation and firefighting.
Audience: This multi-discipline class is specifically arranged to attract a variety of trades and professionals to promote dialogue and interaction.
