Pay Range:                  $2,058.82 – $2,882.81 biweekly

Position Summary:     This position is responsible for inspecting electrical installations (commercial and residential) and commercial and residential structures to ensure compliance with City and National Electrical Code Standards.

Special Requirements: 

  • Must be well versed in Uniform Construction Code (UCC), state laws and process for issuance of UCC permits and Certificates of Occupancy;
  • Thorough knowledge of methods and practices involved in constructing, installing, maintaining, and operating electrical installations, equipment and appliances. 
  • Ability to understand and work form construction and wiring plans, blueprints, drawings and diagrams. 
  • Thorough knowledge of City Ordinances relating to electrical appliances and installations, and of National Electric Code standards;
  • Considerable responsible experience in building construction and inspection work, and completing of a standard high school course;
  • Current certification through the state of Pennsylvania in electrical for residential, commercial, electrical plan review, and commercial building.
