Fairview Township, York County, is accepting resumes for the full-time position of a Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code (PA UCC) Building Inspector.
Primary responsibilities include building construction plan review; issuance of building permits; inspection of the same in accordance with the PA UCC; and property maintenance inspections in accordance with the adopted International Property Maintenance Code. Candidates are required to have valid PA UCC certifications for Residential Inspector (Building; Mechanical; Plumbing; Energy; Electrical), Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner and Commercial Building Inspector.
Candidates who possess additional PA UCC Commercial Inspector/Plans examiner certifications, as well as any planning, zoning or municipal experience are preferred. Candidates should have strong communication, interpersonal, computer experience, and organizational skills. A valid Pennsylvania driver’s license is required.
Highly qualified applicants have the ability to earn up to $38.00/hr. Fairview Township offers paid vacation, a pension plan and a health benefits package.
