Palmer Township, Northampton County, is seeking a full-time Assistant Zoning/Code Enforcement Officer.

The position is responsible for enforcing the township zoning ordinance, performing the duties of the zoning officer in his absence, conducting field inspections and enforcing violations, investigating property maintenance complaints, and assisting with the permitting process. Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree, training in planning, land use, public administration or a related field, plus have three years of responsible zoning/code enforcement or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Interested candidates shall be proficient with Microsoft Office software, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to multi-task and work as a team player. Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
