In 2014, PENNBOC initiated the Fred Kinder Memorial Golf Outing, naming the annual golf outing in his honor. The first sanctioned event of PENNBOC's annual conference, this gathering of friends to celebrate the life of a former colleague and PENNBOC member, Fred Kinder, is transitioning into a tradition.

"It is not about the venue, although that makes it fun. It is about spending time with friends, raising money for Fred's favorite charity, and sharing special memories of Fred's time when he helped to lead PENNBOC," says Jeff Shultz the outing organizer.

In 2017, the golf event will be on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at the Cedarbrook Golf Club, 215 State Route 981, Belle Vernon, PA (724-929-8300).  The per player price includes greens fees, cart, and prizes!  Prepayment is required. Participants will be notified of their assigned start times

A word or two about Fred –

Fred was a long term PENNBOC member, was known in his community as a volunteer supporter of Meals on Wheels and a golfer – and not always in that order.  Nongolfers can support the donation to MoW by making a donation through the PENNBOC Treasurer.  In its two years in existence, seceral donations of this type were received.  All of the proceeds of the FKMGO go to the MoW programs Fred supported.
