On Wednesday, November 17, 2010, HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will be hosting the 2nd annual GIS Day.

GIS Day 's goal is to create awareness about GIS technologies and how they impact us in our everyday lives.

Going Green with GIS is the theme. Interactive workshops, demonstrations and exhibits geared to a variety of different audiences. will be featured.  The morning, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., will be devoted to high school students and educators while the afternoon, 12 p.m.-6 p.m., will be devoted to college students, GIS professionals, and the public.

As part of the day, we will be showcasing the entries for the 2010 GIS Day Map Contest. Submit your maps to show off your work!
