Description
The purpose of this class is to give the qualified individual a better understanding
of the PV Inspection and Installation requirements as related to the National 
Electric Code.  This class covers NEC Article 690 in relation to the Photovoltaic 
Installation and Inspection process.

Upon completion of this course, The Qualified Individual will have a better

understanding of the following:

  • Plan submittal documents and review requirements
  • Parallel and Series Circuit sizing and related wiring methods
  • Photovoltaic Source Circuits, Output circuits, Inverter Input and Output circuits
  • Combiner boxes, A/C and D/C disconnects
  • Inverters and Micro-inverters
  • Utility Interactive systems and Point of interconnection
  • Photovoltaic Labeling requirements

The attendee will learn key points for the plan review and inspection process including

cold weather voltage calculations, circuit and overcurrent protection requirements,

proper wiring methods for both grounded and ungrounded systems, proper

disconnection of PV systems and labeling requirements.

 

This session has been approved by ICC for 6 PPP contact hours (0.6 CEUs).

Description
This session covers practical information on what you need to know to inspect
 both the appliances and their venting systems for gas, wood and pellet burning 
  fireplaces, free-standing stoves and fireplace insert installations. Starting with 
  an overview of fireplace products and product categories available today, the 
  session then focuses on areas that you should pay particular attention to during 
  your inspection.

We will cover an overview of the wide array of hearth products and their venting

systems along with a focused, documented treatment of relevant requirements

found in various codes and product standards. Attendees will be introduced to the

Categories of Hearth Appliances, Categories of Venting Systems, General Installation Issues and Appliance Installation Instructions. With this knowledge attendees will be able to better understand proper hearth appliance installation and the knowledge needed by those installing the products. With this knowledge, you will be better prepared to inspect these products.

Participants will be able to:

 Understand hearth appliances and their categories

 Understand inspection hot spots and requirements

 Use this knowledge to make inspections easier and quicker


This training session has been approved for 5 ICC PPP contact hours (0.5 CEUs).
