Honorary Members
Jack Kinsey
and
Bill Meyer
were announced as PENNBOC's first
Honorary Members. Jack served Region I on various committees,
and as president, vice president, recording secretary and State
Executive Committee delegate. He is retired from Thornbury
Township, with over 30 years of service to the township. Bill
is a past president of PENNBOC and recently retired after a 30-year
career as electrical inspector for the City of Harrisburg.
He chaired or served on four annual
conference committees and is a two-time winner of the Campanella Award.
Pat Campanella Award
Nominees for this award must be Active Members in
good standing. Nominees should display "The High Ideals of
Leadership and Dedication to Their Community and the Pennsylvania
Building Code Officials Conference." Judging is based on
involvement and support of home community, the regional PENNBOC
Chapter and the State association. This award is named for Pat
Campanella, a code enforcement official who spent many years serving
the State Executive Committee and his home territory in Region II.
Nominations close on September 1st. Judging is done by the
Board of Directors and the award is presented at the Annual
Conference in October.
Congratulations to
Dave Knox who received the 2007 Pat Campanella Award as building
official of the year, signifying his professional and community
involvement with code enforcement issues.
